Monthly Sunday Sessions

Saturday, August 22 – BSR BBQ

The traditional BSR BBQ has been held for the last ten years in the Cardinal backyard. Doors open at 11:20 a.m. The featured band this year will be the Leyland/Coots Quintet and the Oasis Ukulele Band will be the intermission band. A suggested donation of $20 will garner you a full Santa Maria Tri-tip BBQ meal. Beverages will be available but are not included. Please feel free to bring your own, as well as snacks to enjoy before the meal is ready. This day will conclude at 4:30 p.m. Please RSVP to Shonda Croly at: Shamrockshonda59@gmail.com

Feature Band -The Leyland/Coots Quintet featuring Carl Sonny Leyland (piano and vocals), Danny Coots (drums), Marc Caparone (cornet), Karl Welz (saxophone), and Jamie Mather (bass).

Intermission Band – The Oasis Ukulele Band plays weekly on Wednesdays from 1-3 p.m. at the Oasis Senior Center in Old Town Orcutt (420 Soares Ave.). The band was formed in November of 2003 by Ben Tromp and is currently mostly led by BSR member Mike Rittenhouse with help from many other band members.
