Every October, before the COVID-19 pandemic, Basin Street Regulars host “Jazz Jubilee by the Sea”, a world class traditional jazz festival held in beautiful Pismo Beach and Grover Beach. This festival has been successful each year since it began in 1976, with fans streaming in from all over the country and even the world. It is held for three days in five venues, including the Pismo Beach Veteran’s Memorial Building, “on the beach” at the Addie Street parking lot, the Edgewater Inn’s Skyroom, the Grover Beach Community Center, and the Ramona Garden Park Center in Grover Beach. Buses will get you to all the venues. Locally catered food and drinks are available at all locations except the Edgewater. We have dance floors at all venues, except the Edgewater, for your dancing pleasure! There are three-day badges, one-day badges, discounted badges for those under 30 years old and ½ price tickets after 5 PM each day. In addition, children 12 and under are free.

The festival usually takes place during fourth weekend in October. It was held as a virtual event in 2020 and is cancelled in 2021. We hope to return to a full festival in 2022. It is organized and operated solely by volunteers. This is a separate event from the Basin Street Regulars Sunday sessions. Revenue from the festival helps fund the monthly Basin Street Regulars Sunday Sessions as well as our Youth Programs. Badge sales alone do not cover the cost of the Jubilee. We need additional financial support to help us fund the Jubilee every year. Our supporters are entitled to special privileges, depending on their level of support.
